Harley-Davidson, in their sometimes perplexing reasoning, has changed the footpeg clevis on M8 Softails so that NONE of the Footpegs made for any other Harley-Davidsons will fit the M8 Softail.
This means that, until now, the owner of an M8 Softail had to purchase M8 Softail Specific pegs. On Top of that, pegs that fit the rider mount won't fit the passenger mount! Two different style mounts on the same bike!!!

2024 HD 117 Breakout floorboard conversion 0 people found this helpfulOverall a good solution. However, you need to note you cannot reuse the stock foot peg springs with these. There are no holes drilled for the spring arm to go into, and if you drill the hole yourself the adapter's thickness prevents you from inserting the spring. The barrel filler provided for thinner pins is also not long enough to fill the entire length of the male post from the DK Custom floorboards.

We understand that the springs cannot be used with the Foot Peg Adapters, which is why we include Spring Washers to serve the function of the spring. Regarding the bushing, the male clevis is an unusual size, and we were unable to find a bushing that fit perfectly. However, we haven't encountered any issues with the bushing being slightly smaller or shorter than the post. If you feel the need for more tension, you can use multiple spring washers. Great idea but didn’t work as intended 0 people found this helpfulI was really excited by the concept of this product and love DK Customs. Great people. Unfortunately this product didn’t work for me. The quality looked great but it ultimately was impossible to line up due to the thickness and after countless attempts to install a mini floorboards, it just would not work without significant filing/modification. Unfortunately it caused a significant amount of deep scratches in my floorboards to the point I am stuck with them and had to order M8 specific floorboards. A cheap fix lead to twice the cost of doing it right the first time. Unfortunately I can’t recommend them.

They work 0 people found this helpfulI was excited to find these. Once I received them they looked and felt very well made. The right side installed easy, no issues at all. The left side was not as good. The lower side of the part with the DK embossed on it was a bit too thick and would not line up properly. I used a file to remove the powder coating off the back and just a hair of metal. This did the trick and I was able to mount up the peg almost as easy as the right side. I did paint the bare metal. Overall these did do the trick and I was able to install pegs that otherwise would not have fit. I will recommend these to other riders. You may need to make a minor adjustment to one piece of the kit.

Still needed modification of footpeg mount 0 people found this helpfulI have bought previously other product so without hesitation purchased these. They do not allow fitment of genuine HD Mini Footboards. I had to round the top edge of the clevis to give clearance to fold up rendering the std fitting non standard. Bit disappointed.

great product 1 people found this helpfulI own a 2018 FatBoy. I wanted to change the rear passenger pegs on my bike. I didn't like the very few that Harley had to offer. and the aftermarket mostly are the off road cage style. so I was ready to accept that I was going to have to live with the ugly factory ones. I went on a Harley forum page and saw this adapter kit that would let me use the standard style pegs. I purchased this kit. and now have a beautiful set of PM pegs installed.
